IDF and Shin Bet Say They Killed 16 Hamas Finance Operatives Who Moved Over $1 Billion

The IDF and the Shin Bet said on Friday that 16 key Hamas economic operatives who moved money and financed the group's military activity have been killed during the war. According to the agencies, they handled more than $1 billion for Hamas's military wing through dozens of money changers in Turkey and the Gaza Strip, using couriers and cash to evade banks and international oversight. Those named include military-wing finance official Ibrahim Abu Shamala and political-wing finance chief Muhammad Abu Alwan. The agencies said anyone directly involved in financing Hamas's military activity is a target, and warned Gaza residents that others are still moving the group's money.
