The IDF said a soldier had been removed from a combat role following disciplinary proceedings over a video filmed during a weapons search near Taybeh in Binyamin. The footage showed the soldier holding a Palestinian young man and addressing his father after troops responded to a confrontation between Israeli settlers and Bedouin Palestinians. In its response disclosed Friday, the military said the conduct shown in the video did not accord with its values. The IDF said an inquiry had been completed and the soldier subsequently underwent disciplinary proceedings that resulted in his removal from combat duties.
