IAF Drone Falls Into Sea Off Palmachim After Technical Malfunction

An Israeli Air Force remotely piloted aircraft fell into the sea off Palmachim beach earlier Thursday after a technical malfunction, the IDF said. Israeli Navy forces recovered the aircraft from the water. The military said there was no concern that information had leaked from the aircraft and that the incident was under investigation. The IDF statement did not identify the aircraft model, its mission or the exact time of the malfunction, and it did not report any casualties or damage ashore.
