Kariv Calls for Speaker Ohana’s Immediate Replacement

MK Gilad Kariv called for the immediate replacement of Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana in a Hebrew statement published on Sunday. Responding to a post by journalist Michael Shemesh about Ohana, Kariv said he did not understand why Shemesh was surprised by the speaker’s response. Kariv accused Ohana of participating in the spread of conspiracy theories and systematically damaging the distinction between truth and falsehood. He also accused Ohana of undermining the institutional character of the speaker’s office, ending his statement with a demand that Ohana be replaced immediately.
