IDF Weighs Election-Week Leave Restrictions and Alerts More Ground Forces

A military official said on October 18 that the IDF is considering restrictions on soldiers' leave during election week as part of heightened preparedness. Additional ground forces have received an alert order as the military continues to assess readiness across the fighting fronts. The official said these preparations are being made because of the sensitivity of the period and do not follow a specific, immediate warning. A final decision on the leave restrictions has not been made and is expected later this week.
