IDF Announces Palestinian Worker Restrictions and Election-Day Crossing Closure

The IDF announced that Palestinian workers will be barred from entering Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley for work on Sunday and Monday, following a situational assessment. Industrial zones and a limited number of other approved areas are exempt during those two days. For election day on Tuesday, October 27, the political echelon approved a ban on Palestinian workers entering and leaving throughout those regions, including industrial zones, on the security establishment’s recommendation. The announcement also provides for all land crossings to close throughout election day.
