IDF Orders Leave Restrictions From Thursday Ahead of Elections

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir ordered leave restrictions in military units from Thursday as part of preparations to secure the elections. After a multi-front assessment on Monday morning, he also directed more senior commanders to be present in operations rooms, headquarters and units. Central Command will receive the Paratroopers Brigade headquarters and additional forces, with the headquarters serving as a task-force brigade command between Samaria and Binyamin. Other sectors will receive reinforcements according to operational needs. Zamir said the military must enable safe elections on time, with the restrictions subject to continuing situation assessments.
