Ya’alon Calls for October 27 Turnout to Replace Government

Moshe Ya’alon, a former defense minister and IDF chief of staff, urged voters Monday to turn out on October 27 and vote to replace the government. In a Hebrew post on X, he linked that appeal to criticism of Donald Trump’s political support for Israel’s current leadership. Ya’alon said the reasons for Trump’s support remained to be examined and called for efforts to prevent it carrying a cost for Israel. He portrayed removing the government as necessary to protect the country and return to a Zionist course.
