Netanyahu Urges Right-Wing Turnout, Citing Trump’s Remaining Term

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged right-wing supporters to vote in an October 18 campaign appeal, arguing that the remainder of U.S. President Donald Trump’s term offers Israel an opportunity to complete major tasks. Netanyahu said roughly two years remained and framed the election as a choice between a strong right-wing government he would lead and a government led by his opponents. He described the contest as tied, without citing a poll in the statement. He said he was meeting voters across Israel and asked supporters to encourage relatives and friends to vote.
