Kariv Rebuts Shas, Says Campaign Targets Those Who Impose Religious Lifestyles

Gilad Kariv responded on October 18 to a Shas campaign post accusing Yair Golan of seeking to remove religion from public life. Kariv said his camp intended to remove people who corrupt religion, spread baseless hatred and try to impose their way of life on others. The Shas post, published on October 16, warned that Judaism in Israel was in danger and presented the party as a defender of the state’s Jewish character.
