Rabbi Tau’s Circle Rejects Netanyahu Overture to Withdraw Noam From Election

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has sought a meeting with Rabbi Tzvi Tau in an effort to persuade Noam to withdraw from the election, according to a report published Sunday evening. People in Rabbi Tau’s circle confirmed the approach and said that, if withdrawal was the purpose, it was not under consideration. Rabbi Tau is president of Har Hamor Yeshiva and spiritual patron of MK Avi Maoz’s party. The reported contact comes as Netanyahu presses small parties to step aside over concerns about votes for lists that do not enter the Knesset.
