Almog Cohen Accuses Yair Golan of Seeking to Remove Judaism From Public Life

Almog Cohen accused Yair Golan on October 18 of seeking to remove Judaism from Israel’s public sphere. In a roughly 90-second video posted on X, Cohen linked his criticism to Israel’s identity as the Jewish people’s sole nation-state and described Torah as a foundation of the country’s existence. He argued that earlier efforts to diminish Torah had failed and said Golan would not succeed either. Cohen also emphasized his continued belief in Torah while presenting his criticism of Golan.
