Liberman Calls for Election to End Netanyahu’s Political Era

Avigdor Liberman called for the coming election to bring Benjamin Netanyahu’s political era to an end in a statement posted Sunday morning. Linking his appeal to Netanyahu turning 77 this week, Liberman said the prime minister had become weaker than ever. He accused Netanyahu of being beholden to people evading military service and to a small group he said was harming the settlement enterprise. Liberman also argued that the group’s actions were eroding Israel’s remaining centers of support around the world.
