Liberman Warns a Minority Government Could Return Netanyahu’s Bloc With 70 Seats

Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Liberman warned on Monday morning that a minority government would quickly lead Israel back to an election and could return Benjamin Netanyahu and his partners with 70 Knesset seats. In a radio interview, he said he wanted a government made up exclusively of Zionist parties and rejected minority-government proposals as unstable. Liberman argued that the opposition needed to shift three or four seats between the competing blocs. His 70-seat figure was a political forecast, rather than a poll result.
