Forer Reportedly Accuses Eisenkot of Poaching Opposition Votes

Yisrael Beiteinu faction chairman Oded Forer reportedly accused Gadi Eisenkot of drawing votes from other opposition parties during a closed election-headquarters meeting on Wednesday. In the account published Friday, Forer said Eisenkot's campaign to lead the largest party was targeting supporters of Naftali Bennett, Yair Golan and Yisrael Beiteinu rather than Netanyahu's bloc. He also said his party had proposed an opposition declaration committing to a coalition of Zionist parties. According to Forer's reported account, representatives of Eisenkot and Golan sought wording about parties supporting military or civilian service instead.
