Liberman Urges Opposition Bloc to Focus on Turnout, Says 76% Would Bring Victory
Published
Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman urged his opposition partners on Friday to concentrate on mobilizing voters rather than discussing defeat or another election. He claimed that turnout of at least 76% would give the bloc he calls the serving bloc a decisive victory. Liberman argued that polling and hypothetical coalition combinations were crowding out debate about Israel's future, and called for support for one of four parties in what he described as the Zionist bloc. He also urged voters to examine which parties would maintain their positions after the election and refuse a coalition with Netanyahu, Haredi parties or Arab parties.
