Deri Backs a Netanyahu-Led Broad Government With Eisenkot

Shas chairman Aryeh Deri said he favors a broad government led by Benjamin Netanyahu that would include Gadi Eisenkot. Speaking to Yossi Ben Atar on Kan Moreshet on Tuesday evening, Deri said participating parties would have to give up some of their power to make such a government possible. He also expressed sorrow over divisions in Israeli society. Deri did not spell out the concessions he would seek, announce coalition negotiations or present an agreement with Eisenkot. The report gave no response from Eisenkot to the proposal.
