Herzog Reportedly Promotes Netanyahu–Eisenkot Unity Government

President Isaac Herzog has reportedly raised the possibility of a unity government involving Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud and Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar! after the election. Unnamed legislators who met Herzog at various events said he discussed that arrangement with them. The newly published account also says Herzog intends to press legislators from Eisenkot’s party on the need for such a partnership if the election produces no decisive outcome. The timing of the private conversations was not specified, and the report does not establish a coalition agreement or consent from either party.
