Golan Condemns Magal and Backs Eisenkot, Calling for Respectful Public Debate

Yair Golan expressed support for Gadi Eisenkot on Sunday and condemned Yinon Magal in a statement calling for respectful public debate. Golan described Magal as racist and accused him of serving a political poison machine. He said a shared Israeli identity unites people of Moroccan, Ashkenazi and other backgrounds, and called for discussion without racism or violence. Golan also argued that the period of division and incitement would end, linking his appeal for change to October 27.
