Germany Summons Iranian Ambassador After Plot Against Jewish and Pro-Israel Leaders

Germany summoned Iran's ambassador on Monday following the convictions of two men over preparations for attacks on Jewish and pro-Israel figures. The targets included Josef Schuster, president of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, and Volker Beck, president of the German-Israeli Society. The Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg found that the men had scouted targets in preparation for attacks. Germany's Foreign Ministry condemned the Iranian activities and said it would not tolerate attacks on Jewish life or on people who defend it.
