Chabad Yeshiva Students Detained at Ben Gurion Over Military Enlistment Status

Dozens of Chabad yeshiva students were detained after landing at Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday morning over their military enlistment status. They had returned to Israel after spending a year studying at Chabad’s world headquarters in the United States. Some of the students had their passports taken and were told they were suspected of failing to report despite being liable for enlistment. The returning students were subsequently told they would be held for disciplinary proceedings concerning their military status.
