Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef accused National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir of responsibility for arrests of yeshiva students in remarks reported on Wednesday evening. The former Sephardi chief rabbi spoke at a Torah-scroll dedication held by his son-in-law, Rabbi Baruch Deri. Yosef said Ben Gvir should not shift responsibility for the arrests to the attorney general. “Itamar Ben Gvir is responsible for the arrests of yeshiva students,” he said, adding that the minister, rather than the attorney general, was responsible.
