The Jerusalem Faction announced demonstrations in Jerusalem and Gush Dan for Thursday, October 8, at around 4 p.m. Its Committee to Save the Torah World said Rabbi Azriel Auerbach instructed the protests in response to recent military arrests of yeshiva students and kollel scholars. The committee’s statement also criticized other Haredi leaders, saying they had failed to stand alongside the detained students. The demonstrations remain scheduled for Thursday afternoon; the announcement does not identify specific intersections, attendance estimates or confirmed traffic closures.
