Datadog’s Reported $4 Billion Upwind Offer Draws Conflicting Accounts

Conflicting reports emerged on October 22 over whether U.S. software company Datadog offered nearly $4 billion to acquire Israeli cloud-security startup Upwind. One account described an approach close to Upwind’s reported $3.8 billion valuation, while a later account disputed that such a bid had been submitted. Neither company was quoted confirming the reported offer, and no acquisition agreement was announced in the accounts. Founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar, Upwind develops tools for monitoring cloud applications and infrastructure, identifying risks and responding to attacks.
