Hex-Rays Acquires Israeli AI Security Research Startup Ventris

Belgian software company Hex-Rays is acquiring Israeli startup Ventris, which develops a platform for AI agents used in security research. The acquisition was announced on Sunday, and all six Ventris employees will join the buyer, which plans to expand its Israeli development operation. Ventris lets researchers build automated workflows that examine source code and binary files for vulnerabilities and malicious software, and validate the findings. Its platform can use different AI models and operate without an internet connection. Founder and CEO Elon Gliksberg established the company last year without raising outside investment.
