Sohlberg Orders Local Authorities to Remove Likud Campaign Signs

Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg directed local authorities on Saturday night to remove Likud campaign signs after the party failed to comply with an earlier removal order. The new direction extends enforcement to the local authorities where the disputed signs are displayed. Sohlberg also instructed Likud to report by Sunday morning on the steps it had taken to carry out the decision. He said he would consider additional costs following the party’s failure to meet the earlier deadline.
