Likud Seeks Ten-Minute Delay for October Council Rally Broadcasts

Likud asked television broadcasters to delay speeches at the October Council's upcoming rally in Tel Aviv's Hostages Square by at least ten minutes so editors could check for election propaganda. The request went to the legal advisers of Kan, Keshet 12, Reshet 13 and Channel 14, as well as the Second Authority and the attorney general. Likud argued that opposition leaders' participation and the organizers' voting message risked turning coverage into campaign material. The organizers, who are demanding a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 failures, rejected the request and called on the public to attend on Saturday night.
