Kahana Says Yashar Is in Contact With Likud Members Over Post-Election Government

Matan Kahana of Yashar with Eisenkot said the party was in contact with Likud members as he outlined plans for a government after the election. He claimed some Likud members spoke with Gadi Eisenkot more than with Benjamin Netanyahu, but named none. Kahana ruled out joining a Netanyahu-led government and described first replacing him with a Jewish Zionist parliamentary majority, then broadening the coalition or holding another election under a caretaker government. He also made universal service a condition for partnership, saying he currently saw no agreement with the Haredi parties on that basis.
