Lapid Cites Serbia and Brazil Results in Final-Day Election Appeal

Opposition leader Yair Lapid used the reported election results in Serbia and Brazil on Monday morning to make a final-day appeal ahead of Israel's vote. He described Aleksandar Vučić and Flávio Bolsonaro as two associates of Benjamin Netanyahu who had suffered electoral defeats overnight. Lapid attributed those outcomes to high voter participation and to national pride resisting outside dictates, presenting that interpretation as a lesson for Israeli voters. He said the following day's election offered Israel an opportunity to begin a political correction and renew hope and success.
