Rabbi Hirsch Pledges Greater Yeshiva Leadership Role in Haredi Representation

Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch said yeshiva heads would become more involved in Haredi representation, responding to criticism from working Haredi families. In a question-and-answer recording released on October 26, he acknowledged complaints about political representatives and activists and said greater involvement would help prevent earlier problems from recurring. The roughly 12-minute discussion also addressed families’ feelings that they are remembered mainly around elections, children’s school admission, and independent versus state-Haredi education. Hirsch also discussed the American model of maintaining a home centered on Torah when fathers work.
