IDF Reports About 100 Terror-Suspect Arrests in Weekly Operations Summary
Published
The IDF said on Friday, October 30, that Israeli forces had arrested about 100 wanted persons in Judea and Samaria during the week. Its newly released weekly operational summary also reported the killing of 15 terrorist operatives in Gaza. The figures describe activity over the week, rather than operations all carried out on Friday. The army said those arrested included Hamas members, people suspected of terrorist activity, suspects involved in planning or advancing attacks, and people accused of inciting terrorism. Forces also seized weapons and equipment, including an M16 rifle, knives, a protective vest and an imitation pistol. In Gaza, the military said the 15 operatives had been involved in advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and rebuilding Hamas's capabilities. It described those activities as violations of the ceasefire. The summary named Ashraf Mahmoud Yusuf Dahlan, a platoon commander in Hamas's East Jabalia Battalion, whom the IDF said had entered Israel during the October 7 massacre. The army described its continuing operations as aimed at thwarting terrorist threats, damaging terrorist infrastructure and preventing terrorist organizations from rebuilding their capabilities. Setting out its response to further threats, it said: "The IDF will respond to any attempt to target its forces and Israel's citizens."
