Katz Says IDF Is Ready to Disarm Hamas and Demilitarize Gaza

Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday afternoon that the IDF was prepared to dismantle Hamas and remove weapons and tunnels from Gaza. He said those goals could be achieved through the U.S.-led hostage-release agreement or by the IDF carrying out the task itself. Katz congratulated the IDF and Shin Bet on their overnight action against Hamas terrorists and said forceful operations would continue. He also said instructions from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and himself required pursuing participants in the October 7 crimes, whether in Gaza or abroad, without immunity anywhere.
