Published
The IDF disclosed on November 2 that it had killed 4 Hamas military-wing terrorists in 4 separate airstrikes in northern Gaza. Its announcement identified a recruitment official, a sniper commander, a Nukhba terrorist and a rocket-unit squad commander. The strikes took place on October 31 and October 22. In 2 strikes on October 31, the military said it killed Nabil Hamad, who headed a department within Hamas's recruitment apparatus, and sniper commander Mohannad Nader Mahmoud Dahdouh. The IDF said Hamad worked to strengthen and rebuild Hamas's military wing in Gaza. It said Dahdouh had taken an active part in fighting and carried out attacks against Israeli troops. The 2 October 22 strikes killed Wael Naif Fahmi Muslim and Arafat Kamal Muhammad Ar’air, according to the announcement. The IDF identified Muslim as a Nukhba terrorist who entered Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. It identified Ar’air as a squad commander in Hamas's rocket apparatus. The military said all 4 had advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked throughout the war, particularly recently, to restore Hamas's capabilities. It described those activities as systematic violations of the ceasefire. The IDF said the strikes were conducted “to remove the threat they posed.” Its English statement said precautions to reduce harm to civilians included precision munitions and aerial surveillance. The military said Southern Command troops remain deployed in accordance with the agreement and will continue operating to remove threats.
