IDF Discloses Duvdevan Arrest of Three Suspects Over Binyamin Terror Plots

The IDF and Shin Bet disclosed on November 6 that Duvdevan soldiers had arrested three suspects whom the agencies said were planning terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and troops. Their joint announcement said the operation had been completed during the week, rather than giving a specific date for the arrests. The soldiers operated in al-Am'ari, a-Ram and al-Bireh, in the Binyamin Brigade sector, following intelligence direction from the Shin Bet. The announcement described the detainees as people who “planned to carry out terrorist operations.” It said all three had been transferred to security forces for further questioning. The disclosure did not identify the detainees or name an organizational affiliation. It also did not specify the intended attack methods or provide a timetable for the questioning. In a separate operation announced on October 19, Duvdevan soldiers working with the Shin Bet arrested two suspects in Kafr Aqab on October 18. The IDF said those suspects were developing a terrorist infrastructure and preparing imminent terrorist activity, and that they too were transferred for questioning. That earlier announcement concerned two detainees in Kafr Aqab, distinct from the three arrests disclosed on November 6.
