If you’ve never seen what a war against the Jewish state looks like: “A researcher who has overseen teams collecting malnutrition data in the Horn of Africa remarked that she had ‘never seen’ the emergence of obesity and excess weight in a place that was declared only a year earlier to be suffering from famine.”
This is not disarmament. Hamas is trying to go back to the world of Oct. 6 - when their plans to massacre men, women, and children went unnoticed. Hamas has committed to repeating Oct. 7 at the first opportunity they get; that’s the only thing they don’t lie about. Israel won’t be surprised again at Hamas barbarism.
Do you remember when, in the "Seinfeld" finale, the main characters ended up in jail just because they didn't intervene when a crime was committed? This week's Torah portion is a strong reminder of Judaism's committment to collective responsibility. The Torah commands: “You shall not see your brother’s donkey or ox fallen on the road and ignore it; you shall help him raise it.” Not only are we forbidden to ignore a fellow man in trouble - we must help him, even if it takes significant effort (like getting an ox back on his feet, or preventing a car-jacking). In recent weeks, Israeli forces have been dispached to Venezuela and Colombia to assist the local communities in rescuing survivors, and rebuilding after the horrible earthquakes that occured there - all possible thanks to the vast experience of our Search and Rescue teams in disaster sites, in Israel and all over the world. Let's take this weekend as an opportunity to look around, and see where we may be able to help someone who needs it. Shabbat shalom 🕯️🕯️
They may say they're willing to disarm, but this is Hamas' true face, and we mustn't forget it. Using health facilities like the Nasser hospital for military purposes doesn't only endanger patients, healthcare workers and infrastructure - it perpetuates a reality where violence, fear and death are prioritized over life, healing and rebuilding. Purveyors of death and destruction: That is what Hamas is, that is the nature of the beast.
Thanks to the tireless work of our troops, Sgt. First Class Yehuda Yekutiel Katz's remains are now back in Israel. Yehuda fell in battle in Lebanon, fighting Palestinian terrorists and their Syrian army supporters in 1982. A number of covert operations over the years led to the return of the remains of his teammates, Sgt. First Class Zachary Baumel and Sgt. First Class Zvi Feldman z"l. Yehuda's family can now, finally, lay him to rest in his homeland.
Since August 3rd, Hamas violated the ceasefire 229 times, in addition to 162 Yellow zone crossings. Hamas is systematically violating President Trump’s 20-Point Peace Plan while continuing its military activities and rebuilding its military capabilities: - Refusing to disarm and continuing to possess and operate weapons - Smuggling weapons and materials into Gaza - Rebuilding and expanding underground military infrastructure - Recruiting, equipping, and training operatives - Preparing and advancing attacks against IDF troops - Systematically planting IEDs to target Israeli forces This is a systematic effort to preserve Hamas’s military power and undermine the peace plan.
Hamas recruiting children. Not surprising. Unsurprising too, the deafening silence of the condemn-Israel-first-and-always mob. How sad. How disgraceful. How utterly immoral. How par for the course.
In case you missed what happened this weekend: A Hezbollah Radwan commander placed his family inside a military site and used them as human shields during a targeted strike by the IDF. None of this is new. For Iran and its death-cult proxies it's standard operating procedure. Hezbollah would use every Lebanese family as a human shield if it means they'll be able to harm more Israeli families - no human life is sacred to them.
Hezbollah attacked IDF soldiers operating in the Security Zone, in violation of the ceasefire agreement. In response, the IDF acted decisively against the Hezbollah commander who ordered the attack — a terrorist who used his own family as human shields inside a Hezbollah military headquarters. If the Lebanese government uses this incident as a pretext to delay or discontinue peace talks, it would hand a tactical victory to the enemies of peace. Derailing the talks is precisely what Hezbollah is trying to achieve.
