Houthis Threaten Saudi Airports After Yemen Airspace Claim
Jerusalem Post reported at 20:03 IDT, and CBS/AFP carried a matching update at 20:07, that Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis said they fired air-defense missiles at Saudi warplanes near Sanaa International Airport. The Houthis claimed the Saudi aircraft tried at 05:20 to stop an Iranian civilian plane carrying more than 200 stranded, wounded and sick Yemenis from landing; Riyadh had not immediately commented. Times of Israel, LBC and RFE/RL carry the same warning that Yahya Saree threatened Saudi airports and vital interests on land and sea. For Israel, the message is familiar: Tehran's proxy network keeps regional aviation, energy and trade under threat, and deterrence must stay active from Yemen to Lebanon.
