Houthis Threaten Saudi Airports After Yemen Airspace Claim

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis said on July 3 they fired air-defense missiles at Saudi warplanes near Sanaa International Airport. The Houthis claimed the Saudi aircraft tried at 05:20 to stop an Iranian civilian plane carrying more than 200 stranded, wounded and sick Yemenis from landing; Riyadh had not immediately commented. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree threatened Saudi airports and vital interests on land and sea. For Israel, the message is familiar: Tehran's proxy network keeps regional aviation, energy and trade under threat, and deterrence must stay active from Yemen to Lebanon.
