Israeli Tech Groups Launch First Permanent New York Startup Hub
Israeli technology leaders in New York announced Hakibbutz NYC, a permanent hub for Israeli startups in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. Organizers said the 18,000-square-foot space will host investor gatherings, roundtables, networking events and meetings between Israeli companies and U.S. corporations. The project brings together Hakibbutz, an Israeli coworking operator, and Israeli Mapped in NY, which tracks 470 Israeli technology companies in the city. Organizers said the privately funded center has no Israeli, U.S. or New York government involvement, and Zafran Security is among the first companies operating there.
