Israeli Envoy Says Netanyahu Will Address UN General Assembly

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to New York and address the UN General Assembly in September. Danon said Netanyahu would speak proudly before the world. Responding to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Danon accused him of failing to manage New York and of inciting hostility by attacking Israel instead of confronting rising antisemitism in the city. The statement followed Mamdani's disclosure that his administration was discussing whether it could seek Netanyahu's arrest during the September gathering.
