Prime Minister's Office Rejects ICC Authority and Rebukes Mamdani

The Prime Minister's Office rejected New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's threat to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu during his planned September UN General Assembly visit. It said the ICC has no jurisdiction over Israeli or U.S. citizens and called the warrant baseless, linking it to former prosecutor Karim Khan's effort to deflect scrutiny before sexual-misconduct allegations became public. The office said Israel took unprecedented steps to reduce civilian harm while fighting Hamas, which it described as using Palestinians as human shields and deliberately attacking Israeli civilians. It told Mamdani to focus on damage caused by his policies in New York instead of attacking Israel's elected leader.
