The IDF said an airstrike killed several armed Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives and other gunmen who were transferring weapons in the southern Gaza Strip. Soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade’s Reconnaissance Unit spotted the group moving weapons into a vehicle and entering it on Monday. The military said the weapons were intended for attacks against Israeli troops operating in the area. A short time after the identification, the air force struck the operatives inside and near the vehicle to remove the threat; the announcement did not state the exact number killed or name the location.
