U.S. Probes Possible Russian Aid in Iranian Strikes on CIA Facilities

U.S. intelligence analysts are investigating whether Russia helped Iran target CIA facilities in the Gulf by providing targeting data or advanced drone technology, according to four people familiar with the review. At least two sites were struck in March, the CIA station inside the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh and a separate facility in eastern Iraq. Investigators cited the strikes' precision, Moscow's broader technical support for Tehran and suspected use of Russian-enhanced Shahed drones, but they have reached no firm conclusion. No deaths or injuries were reported in the Riyadh attack, while Russia, Iran and Saudi Arabia did not respond publicly to requests for comment.
