UK Temporarily Withdraws Diplomatic Staff From Iran
Britain temporarily withdrew its diplomatic staff from Iran because of the security situation, while keeping the embassy operating remotely. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office continues to advise against all travel to Iran and says support for British nationals there is extremely limited. Its updated guidance warns that renewed U.S.-Iran hostilities could resume at short notice, with borders, airspace and communications liable to disruption. The notice also says U.S. and Israeli strikes have affected infrastructure across Iran and that British and British-Iranian dual nationals face a very high risk of detention.
