Young Man Seriously Wounded in Sderot Shooting

A man about 20 years old was seriously wounded in a shooting on Yitzhak Sadeh Street in Sderot shortly after 9 p.m. Friday. Magen David Adom medics found him conscious with penetrating wounds, treated him with bandaging and bleeding control, and evacuated him by intensive-care ambulance to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon. Police said the incident was criminal in nature and opened an investigation. Officers and forensic investigators began collecting evidence at the scene; no suspect or motive beyond the preliminary criminal assessment was immediately announced.
