Ukraine Says Caspian Strikes Hit Russian Warship and Iran-Linked Cargo Vessels

Ukraine said its long-range drones struck a Russian Molniya-class missile boat and two cargo vessels in the Caspian Sea overnight. The Security Service of Ukraine identified the cargo ships as Port Olya 2 and Begey, both under international sanctions for carrying military cargo and munitions between Iran and Russia. The agency said the operation also hit the Filanovsky oil platform and was intended to disrupt Russian military logistics. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the strikes but did not provide a damage assessment, and Russia had not immediately commented.
