Givati Jails 14 Sabar Battalion Soldiers and Removes Them From Combat

The IDF sentenced 14 Sabar Battalion soldiers who led a mass walkout from their base to 30 days in military prison and removed them from combat service. About 80 other soldiers who left and later returned will join their commanders in an educational and command process on Saturday aimed at strengthening discipline. Two additional leaders returned overnight and will be tried later, while one soldier had not yet appeared for proceedings. The disciplinary hearings were conducted by Givati Brigade commander Col. Netanel Shamaka after veteran soldiers protested commanders' removal of unit signs and symbols.
