Jewish Michigan Senator Jeremy Moss Wins Democratic House Primary

Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss won the Democratic primary for the open 11th Congressional District, becoming the party's nominee for the Oakland County seat. The Associated Press called the race after 74% of votes were counted, with Moss at 49.2% and attorney Aisha Farooqi at 32.9%. Moss, who is Jewish and has spoken publicly against antisemitism, thanked Oakland County and called the nomination the honor of a lifetime. The seat is held by Haley Stevens, who left it open to run for the U.S. Senate.
