Senior Prosecutor in Ben-Gvir Associates Probe Requests Transfer

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Itamar Ben-Gvir smiling while looking down at a device on a Jerusalem street beside a pale stone wall, with a police car and stone buildings behind him.

An unnamed senior prosecutor in the Police Internal Investigations Department has asked to move to the State Attorney's Office Appeals Department while a probe she supervised remains unfinished. The investigation concerns former Judea and Samaria central-unit commander Avishai Moalem, Prison Service Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's chief of staff, Hanamel Dorfman. The State Attorney's Office said the transfer request preceded department chief Keren Bar Menachem's departure and had no connection to this or any other case. It said the investigation would continue as usual.
