Poll Finds 70% of Reservists Say Government’s Haredi-Draft Record Shapes Their Vote

An August 19 Dialog survey of 509 IDF reservists found about 70% said the government's handling of Haredi recruitment would influence their vote to a large or very large degree. Comprehensive military or national service for Haredi men drew 63% support, while 28% favored a narrow exemption and 6% backed the status quo. Among reservists who voted Likud in 2022, 34% said they would definitely vote Likud again, 17% were undecided and about one-quarter planned to move to opposition parties. Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar led party preferences at 19%, followed by 16% undecided and Likud at 13%; the survey reported a 4.4% sampling error.
