The IDF said it struck two Hamas terrorists overnight in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, and confirmed the death of Mohammad Abd al-Nasser Jabr Abu Asaad. It identified Abu Asaad as a Nukhba operative in Hamas's military wing who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre. According to the military, the pair had advanced attacks against Israeli civilians and troops and tried to rebuild Hamas capabilities while violating the ceasefire. The IDF said Southern Command forces remain deployed under the agreement and will continue acting against immediate threats.
