Winter Makes Service Law a Condition for Joining Next Government

Amcha Yisrael leader Ofer Winter said his party would not join a government unless a law ending draft evasion and requiring every service-age Israeli to report and contribute passes before that government is sworn in. He said no sector is above the law and rejected leaving the issue to a coalition agreement or post-formation promise. Winter said benefits should favor those who serve, with greater support for combat soldiers and reservists. He reaffirmed support for Benjamin Netanyahu to form the next government but rejected splitting Amcha Yisrael’s slate among other parties, saying any connections would be with new and clean people.
